Challenge

Our Client, a Slovenian HoloLens smart glasses trainer, needed to present the application of smart, mixed reality glasses in a manufacturing process to their German-speaking customers in Austria.

The Client used them to set up a virtual production line for their user in Austria. The project was about how they could train new employees on the virtual production line at the lowest possible cost so that they would wear glasses during the training.

The original plan involved:

  • Translating a PowerPoint presentation from Slovenian to German

  • Providing simultaneous interpreting from Slovenian to German during the live presentation

The client’s development manager was set to deliver the presentation in Slovenian, with our interpreter translating in real-time for the German-speaking audience. However, we identified an opportunity to elevate the client’s image and the overall impact of the presentation.

 

Solution

In collaboration with the client, we proposed a novel approach:

  • Our translators would translate the PowerPoint presentation as initially requested.

  • Instead of interpreting, our interpreter would deliver the entire presentation in fluent German.
